Joint Improvised Explosive Device Detection Organization Counter-IED Intelligence
The Joint Improvised Explosive Device Detection Organization (JIEDDO) leads Department of Defense efforts to defeat the threat of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) by operating a range of counter-IED initiatives. To effectively defuse terrorist networks and prevent attacks against the U.S., JIEDDO requires timely and accurate information, because the loss of even moments could result in devastating consequences.
To assist JIEDDO in its mission, Sotera integrates model-driven, situational awareness software which quickly and effectively examines, processes and provides threat indicators and warning for the defense community working to prevent IED attacks by aggregating information across data sources and identifying threats. As a result, the time to identify IED threats and the accuracy of identifying terrorist networks and specific individuals who may pose a threat to national security is significantly improved.
