Sotera Completes the Acquisition of Software Process Technologies, Inc.

MCLEAN, Va., September 22, 2011 – Sotera Defense Solutions (Sotera), a provider of mission-critical, technology-based systems, solutions and services for national security agencies and programs of the U.S. government, today announced that the company has completed the acquisition of Software Process Technologies, Inc. (SPT). SPT delivers a range of mission-focused, specialized software engineering capabilities to support the cyber intelligence missions of its customers.

Based in Columbia, Maryland, SPT has grown rapidly since its inception in 1997 and today employs approximately 140 professionals in the Ft. Meade, Maryland area. The company expects to generate approximately $35 million in 2011 revenue and its outstanding financial performance is driven by its unique solutions focus, leading edge technical expertise and direct exposure to programs addressing the pressing cyber security mission requirements of the Intelligence Community.

SPT will now be known as Software Process Technologies, a Sotera Defense Solutions Company and will be led by Ms. Dockstader.
