At Sotera Defense Solutions we believe commitment to our customers and dedication to social responsibility are complementary goals. Our Corporate Responsibility (CR) policy demonstrates an unwavering commitment to behaving ethically and adhering to the highest professional standards in all of our business operations and a commitment to fostering the development and achievements of those within our industry and the communities where we live and work.
Our CR philosophy focuses on 4 key support areas that reflect our commitment to serve as a dedicated partner supporting the national security mission of our customers in every aspect of our business:
Recent CR Initiatives
- Aligned with our corporate capabilities and strategy, Sotera established two annual scholarship programs to support students in Cyber Security Studies and STEM programs at universities in Maryland and Virginia.
- We brought more than 100 employees together in activities such as Family Volunteer Day at Lake Fairfax Park in Reston, Virginia, Habitat for Humanity Build Days in Baltimore, Maryland, and the Sotera Spring/Summer Race Series in the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.
- We fostered important relationships with local charitable organizations such as Sarah’s House, Homestretch, Facets, Fairfax County Parks Authority, Fairfax County Office of Private and Public Partnerships, Fisher House Foundation, and more.
- Sotera’s Second Annual Charity Golf Tournament raised over $31,000 to benefit Wounded Warrior Project surpassing the $25,535 we raised in 2011.
